Born August 20, 1934 in Goodnight, Texas to Milton and Nevada Moss Dunn, Wayne spent most of his life in the Texas Panhandle and Southern New Mexico. He graduated from Goodnight (TX) High School in 1951, Clarendon (TX) Junior College in 1953, and attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas where he met the love of his life on July 1, 1954. They were married December 17 of that year. Wayne proudly served his country in the US Army for 6 years, including Active Duty, Army Reserve and Standby Reserve. He most recently worked for Alamo Pipe and Supply, Ace Hardware, and was employed by Southwest Highway Escort Service at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Truman and Bob, and 2 infant sisters. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary, his son Randy and wife Tanya of Lebanon, Missouri, 3 Grandsons Shaun (Sara) of Clinton, Missouri, Brent and Kyle Dunn of Lebanon, Missouri, and two great grandsons Haydin and Maddox. Special thanks go to the Las Cruces Fire Department, EMS and Paramedics for their valiant efforts on our behalf. Additionally, special thanks are extended to Don and Carole Goodall, Bob Reeves, Jim Mealy, and all of the people at DVPT. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, May 12th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home, 555 Amador.
