He was born June 22, 1961 in El Paso, Texas to Manuel and Esther Rosas Ovalle. "Alex" as he was fondly known to his family and friends, was a welder and pipe fitter by trade, and of great service to many. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Leah "Sweetie Pie" Ovalle of the family home; his parents Manuel Sr. and Esther R. Ovalle of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Manuel Ovalle Jr. and wife, Diana and their son Manuel A. Ovalle III; a sister, Elizabeth O. Veck and her husband Mike and their son, Vicente Veck all of El Paso, Texas. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, loving friends in Las Cruces and El Paso, Texas area as well as his loving pets, Rio, Tyrah, Twinkie and Ralph. Visitation for Alex will begin at 11 AM Friday, May 14, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service is scheduled to begin at 2 PM with Deacon, Larry Brown officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Manuel Jr. and Manuel Ovalle III, Mike Rodriguez, Leon Beebe, Mike and Vicente Veck.
