Since then this Angel has sung, laughed and said the sweetest words we could ever hear and most importantly has taught us to love and care for each other and put our hands together to talk to the Lord. Our Angel sent from heaven, EUFEMIA "KENA" GARCIA, 79, was a mom, wife, grandmother, sister and friend and was called upon the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2010. She was born November 15, 1930 to Jesus Salinas and Lucia Hernandez in Guadalupe Victoria, Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico and was a longtime resident of San Miguel. Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Garcia of the family home; a son, Jaime Garcia and wife Kim of Anthony; three daughters, Margaret Flores and husband Danny of San Miguel, Maria Garcia of Las Cruces, Lucy Ontiveros and husband Frank of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Jesus Salinas of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico; Roberto Salinas of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Maria Luisa Trujillo of Albuquerque; Sofia Baeza of Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, Juana Meza of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico and Angela Balderrama of Minnesota. Other survivors include twelve grandchildren, Jaime Vitolas, Ruben and Michael Garcia, Vanessa Rodriguez, Daniel and Marco Flores, Kendra Garcia, Victoria Terrazas, Josh, Justin, Stephanie and Destanie Ontiveros; four great grandchildren, Kasie Evans, Alexia and Alyssa Thomison and Nathaniel Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mario and Luis Salinas; two sisters, Fortunata Hernandez and Emilia Sanchez. Visitation for Kena will begin at 5 PM Sunday, May 23, 2010 in San Miguel Catholic Church, 19217 S. Highway 28 where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 6 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM Monday, May 24, 2010 in the same church with Bishop Ricardo Ramirez officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the San Miguel cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Robert Trujillo, Ruben, Francisco and Michael Garcia, Josh and Justin Ontiveros, Daniel and Marco Flores.
