Tére, as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born in Florencio, Zacatecas, Mexico May 18, 1935 to Francisco and Eloisa Covarrubias Arellano. She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Teresa is survived by her children, Gene Arellano and Vickie Arellano both of Las Cruces; Paul Arellano and wife Tina of San Francisco, California and Linda Magnuson and husband Fred of Wichita, Kansas. Other survivors include a sister, Maria R. Molina and a brother, Manuel Arellano, as well as nine grandchildren, Matt Magnuson and wife Rachel, Chris Magnuson and wife Sharon, Julie Robertson and husband Jeff, Laura Magnuson, Orlando Arellano, Jason Arellano, Francisco Arellano, Chris Arellano and Amy Arellano and one great-grandchild, Elyse Magnuson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Maria Estella Hogue, two brothers, Jose and Guadalupe Arellano. Visitation for Tére will be held from 3 PM to 5PM Friday, May 14, 2010 at Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road. The Prayer Vigil is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM the same evening in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina St. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in the same church. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Gene, Paul, Orlando and Jason Arellano, Matt and Chris Magnuson, and Ralph Hogue.
