Miller of Las Cruces, NM passed away May 14, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Village at the age of 94. Verva was born in Madison, Iowa on March 9, 1916, to John and Margarette Frantz. The family moved to Las Cruces in 1922. Verva attended school in Las Cruces. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper and was active in the Arts and Crafts community. She was a long time member of the Rebekah Assembly of New Mexico. Verva is survived by one sister, Betty Jo Sayler of Grants Pass, Oregan, two sons Johh (Karen) of Las Cruces and Carroll Reed (Linda) of Roswell, NM, as well as many grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Verva was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Willard and Richard Frantz, one sister, Caryl Berry, a son William Miller, and grandson Steven Miller. Special thanks to all at Good Samaritan Village for their Wonderful care. Funeral service for Verva will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home 555 W. Amador Ave. with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery 760 S. Compress.
