Bob is survived by Eleanor "Lee" Smith. Bob was traveling through and met Lee as she worked at Mt. Rushmore in 1976 and later married in 1981. Bob worked for the National Park Services as a park inspector for the United States and Hawaii. Bob retired in Las Cruces after 27 years with the Park Service. He enjoyed horseshoes with his friends, gardening his rose bushes, enjoyed entertaining his friends, loved to tell jokes and went out dancing with Lee. Bob would love to take off with Lee to experience new places. Any one that knew Bob would recognize the love of life he held. Services for Bob will be on Friday, October 8, 2010 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 11:00 A.M. Arrangements are with La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W.
