Visitation will begin Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 6 o'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and rosary service to follow at 7 o'clock in the evening, led by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga. Jose was born on May 12, 1950 in El Paso, Texas to Antonio Sr. and Marcela (Acosta) Hernandez. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and when he was able to drink, his favorite beer was MGD. Jose loved working on trucks and always made an effort to teach his kids all he knew about mechanics. He fulfilled his dream of running his own company when he opened "4J Heating and Mechanical Contractors." His family loved him very much and will miss him greatly. He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda (Anchondo) Hernandez; 4 sons, Juan Anchondo, Jose Omar Hernandez wife Cassandra, Jose Antonio Hernandez, and Jose Roberto Hernandez wife Veronica; 5 daughters, Yvonne H. DeLaO husband Emilio, Alicia Lozano, Marisol Hernandez fiancé Alex Loera, Maria Garcia husband Rico, and Lourdes Anchondo; brothers, Victor, Pedro, Pancho, Manuel, Gilberto, Raphael, and Francisco Hernandez; sisters, Marcelina Burrola, Juanita Morales, and Guadalupe and Maria Elena Hernandez; and 32 grandchildren.
