Hannotte died suddenly on September 22, 2010 in his home in Las Cruces, NM. Born in Verviers, Belgium, he immigrated to the US, attending St. Lawrence University in NY where he earned his B.S. in Geology. Hannotte naturalized to serve with the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as an engineer in heavy construction & mining. Hobbies included world travel, shooting and avid reading. Hannotte's retirement found him with friends and reunited with family who will miss him dearly.
