Torres, 70, of Doña Ana entered eternal life Monday, October 4, 2010. He was born July 26, 1940 in Zacatecas, Mexico. Mr. Torrres retired as a construction worker and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Torres of the family home; three sons, Jose Torres, Francisco Torres and Hector Torres, Jr., (Miriam) all of Las Cruces; four daughters, Teresa Hernandez (Jesus), Connie Caraveo (Jorge) all of Dallas, Texas, Sylvia Caraveo (Sergio) and Maria Torres (Onesimo Perez) all of Las Cruces; three sisters, Martha Torres of Zacatecas, Mexico, Maria Luisa Ortega of Las Cruces and Socorro Contreras of Dallas, Texas. Other survivors include 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Visitation for Mr. Torres will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 in the St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Jose Luis Torres, Francisco Torres, Hector Torres, Jr., Jorge Caraevo, Sergio Caraveo, Onesimo Perez and Jesus Hernandez.
