She was born in Organ, March 2, 1917 to Eusebio Soto Barragan and Cleofas Zamora. Rosa, a lifelong area resident was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include her two sons, Manuel B. Rodriguez and wife, Cathy of Las Cruces and Larry B. Rodriguez and wife, Josie of San Miguel; a daughter, Rosala Barragan; and a special beloved niece, Mary Morones of La Mesa. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Stephen A., Chris A., Marissa B., Amanda and Brandon Rodriguez, Nick Dominguez, and a great granddaughter, Alyssa. She is preceded in death by her parents, twenty-one brothers and sisters, two nephews, Eusebio B. Estrada, Edward B. Estrada, niece, Josephine E. Perez, and a special grandson, Lawrence A. Rodriguez. Friends are invited to join with the family on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 for the Prayer Vigil to be held at 7 PM in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010 in the same church with the Reverend Juan Moreno, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery were she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Stephen Rodriguez, Eddie Tovar, Nick Dominguez, Brandon Rodriguez, Jacob P. Reta and Tony Gonzalez. Honorary bearers will be Amanda N. Rodriguez and Christopher A.
