She was born in Chandler, Arizona on June 1, 1915 to Orris and Lora Kull and grew up on the family dairy farm in La Mesa, NM. Attending college at New Mexico A & M (NMSU) and Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas, she majored in Biology. Ruth was a devoted and industrious daughter, wife and mother, a consummate homemaker, patient and selfless, happy and open to adventure, and a true lady, known for her graciousness. Her greatest interest and joy was her family. She is survived by her husband Wayne, sons Charles Rigney (Barbra) of Phoenix, AZ, Don Rigney (Linda) of Naples ID, and daughter Lynn Rigney Richardson (Lewis) of Las Cruces. Also, her grandchildren Christopher Richardson, Nicholas Richardson, Don Rigney Jr., and Jason Rigney. Ruth loved her children, was proud of her grandchildren and delighted in her great grandchildren. She was active in the Baptist Church all of her life until becoming ill. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 11:00am at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel 555 W. Amador Ave with Pastor Maurice Hollingsworth officiating the services.
