She was born July 22, 1950 to Remijio M. Jaquez and Francisca Guevara Jaquez in Fresno, California. Left to mourn her passing is her mother, Francisca G. Jaquez of Watsonville, CA, her daughter Tammy Crabtree (Josh), her sons, Richard Nurse of Jackson, CA, Eliott Nurse of Kings City, and Ernest L. Nurse of Fort Jackson, SC, her sister, Genevieve (Donald) Davidson, her brothers, Reymondo (Margie) Manuel, Tony (Cathy), Remijio Jr (Rosie), Stephen (Rachel) Michael, Louie (Gina), Gabriel Jaquez all from California, Jose (Mary) Jaquez of Broken Bow, OK. She is also survived by many cousins in Las Cruces and Mesilla, NM. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Ray Carrasco, and sisters, Corina Rodriguez, and Mary Ester Hernandez. Calling hours for Rosie began at 2:00 p.m., where a prayer vigil was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Mission Chapel at Santa Cruz on Friday, October 15, 2010. The funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the same chapel. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date. A memorial reception will be held at her mother's home in Watsonville, CA.
