She was born December 4, 1933 in Ignacio Ramriez, Durango, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, Jesus Antonio Lira of Zacatecas, Mexico and Enrique and Gregorio "Gregg" Villa both of Las Cruces; one brother, Isidro Lira and two sisters, Magdalena Lira and Maria Lira all of Zacatecas Mexico. She is the beloved grandmother of fourteen grandchildren, Kystal, Tiana, Joel, Diego, Estella, Consuelo, Guadalupe, Rosa Maria, Luis Fernando, Carlos, Rosa, Cecilia, Ulises and Giovanni as well as fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Maira Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gregorio B. Villa, and two sons. Visitation for Mrs. Villa will begin at 6 PM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Friday, October 22, 2010 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina Street. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Tortugas Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Greg Villa, Jesus Antonio Lira, Krystal Villa, Jorge Villa, Albert Borunda and Jesus Borunda. Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E.
