Antonia was born January 6, 1922 in Tonuco, NM to Jose and Francisca Clark. Antonia, also known as Toni, was a lifelong resident of the Hatch Valley and was a retired bookkeeper from Porter Farm Center. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Hatch as well as many other civic and community organizations. Her world revolved around her immediate and extended family as well as a multitude of friends to whom she was always willing to extend a helping hand and a hearty laugh. Her positive attitude, warm heart and big smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by daughters, Nina Dorn and husband Ronald of Leesburg, GA; Drusella Wilkinson and husband Dwight of Owensboro, KY; Lois Trembly and husband Jim of Silver City, NM; daughter in law, Karen Hewitt of Carlsbad, NM; and daughter Georgia Gramlich and husband Owen of Bloomfield, NM. Also surviving Toni is one sister, Frances Torres and husband Ignacio of Laredo, TX; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many extended family members. Toni was preceded in death by her first husband, Connie Hewitt; her second husband, Bob Berry and a son Connie Joe Hewitt. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10 am on Monday, October 11, 2010 at First Baptist Church, 421 Franklin Street, Hatch, NM. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Hatch. Officiating will be Pastor David White. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Connie Hewitt Scholarship Foundation, c/o Karen Hewitt, 1305 Lera Circle, Carlsbad, NM 88020.
