Long of St. George, UT passed away on August 24, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 17, 1935 in Redding, California. He was married in San Diego, California in February 1954 to his wife Monte. He grew up in Chico, California. Dad proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1959 he began his career for IBM in Sacramento, California. He held Branch Manager positions in San Francisco and Oakland, California, and the Oregon Branch office in Portland. In 1984 his next assignment was with IBM World Trade Japan. His last assignment was Country Manager of China. He retired after 30 years with IBM at Lake Almanor at age 52. Dad spent time traveling all over the U.S., including two trips to Alaska. He loved golf, tennis, hiking, horses, RV traveling, and spending time with his family. He also loved boating and camping with his kids. He taught all of us to water ski, swim, and love sports. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Glenn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Monte; three children, Scott, Terri and Stacy; his brother, Dave Long; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. We would like to thank Kolob Care and Rehabilitation of St. George and Zion's Way Hospice for their loving care. Their kindness and gentle attention to our dad will always be remembered.
