She was born to J.E. Greene (deceased) and Mary E. Greene in Burlington, NC on May 24, 1955. Patricia was a former nurse and administrator for MMC, Co-founder of Las Cruces Prayer Net., Co-author of "Southwest Spiritual Mapping", and Prayer Coordinator for Las Cruces First. She will always be greatly loved and dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kenneth D. Shannon Jr. (Las Cruces, NM), daughters Amber D. Shannon (San Antonio, TX) and Ashley N. Shannon (Las Cruces, NM). Her brother John Greene Jr. (McCormick, SC), and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews also survive her. A visitation will be at Las Cruces First AG, 5605 Bataan Memorial West, on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A celebration of life service will follow at 12 p.m. Officiating the celebration will be Pastor David Vistine. Following the celebration cremation will take place. As she requested, the family will be celebrating her life, and general black attire is not required for services.
