She was born August 14, 1927 in Sylvester, Texas. Her family moved to the Hatch area when she was 5-6 years old. Her family migrated to a dryer climate in 1933 to accommodate her granny, who had tuberculosis. Born to Lester and Eliza Sullivan, she attended elementary and high school in Hatch, NM. On November 17, 1943 she met the love of her life, Robert Randall, who was a guard at the Hatch prisoner of war subcamp. They were married July 02, 1944. She was 16, and Robert was 20. They were married 66 years. She was a totally devoted wife and mother. Her family brought her the greatest joy. She is survived by her husband, Robert Randall, son, Bobby Randall, daughters Portia Morgan (John Wedel), and Martha Ewing (Eldon), eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters Oleta Satterwhite (her twin), Joanne Smith (Arnold), Irene Fiske (Mel), Genell Turner and one brother, Lecil Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her father Lester Sullivan, mother Eliza Sullivan, sister Mildred Pierce, and son in law Larry Morgan. There will be a visitation on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home 555 W. Amador from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 24, also at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home to begin at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. A reception will follow at Mesilla Park Community Church. Pallbearers will be Ryan Randall, Jason Ewing, Brad Morgan, Eldon Ewing, Bobby Randall, Eldon Ewing, and Ken Krebs. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to the : Larry D. Morgan Endowment Fund, Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, 301 S. Church St. Suite H, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
