Monico Sr. was born on May 04, 1949 in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife Yolanda Escalera of the family home; his children Monico Escalera Jr., Lorenzo Escalera, Helen and husband Samuel Ruiz, Jessica Escalera, Cindy Escalera and husband Manuel Cortez, Yolanda Jordan, Patricia Hernandez and Maribel and husband Veto Gonzales; his grand children Nicole, Ashley, Ryan, Matthew, Camica, Andrew, James, Monique, Isaiah, Angel, Destiny, Anthony, Ethan, Marcus, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Veronica, Hector, Raymundo, Jose, Norma, Marcos, Claudia and Frijolito and great-granddaughters Meea and Alyssa. Monico Escalera was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He was the owner of Escalera Rodriguez Trucking and enjoyed classic car restoration and projects in his spare time. Monico Escalera will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Service arrangements have been made by Baca's Funeral Chapel of Las Cruces on Thursday, September 02, 2010.Viewing will be held today, Friday, September 03, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
