Villalobos, affectionately called "Cuco" or "Elvis", passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Jose was born to Refugio and Catalina Villalobos on August 28, 1950. The family settled in Hatch, NM in 1958. Cuco attended school in Hatch, graduating from Hatch Valley High School in 1971. Survivors include his wife, Bernice G. Villalobos, of the family home; son, Billy Villalobos and life partner Abel Molina; daughter, Romelia Villalobos and life partner Doe Hernandez; and grandson, Daniel James Villalobos, all of Dallas, TX. Other survivors include his mother of Rodey, NM; sister, Dolores of Las Cruces; brothers, Juan of Hawaii and Gerardo "Chico" of Albuquerque, NM, as well as a large network of extended family and friends. Jose was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and Elvis fan and impersonator. In 2004, he appeared in the movie "Elvis Has Left the Building", starring Kim Basinger. His passion was his wife as well as his family in Dallas. The light of his eyes was his grandson, whom he called "Big Guy" or "Little E". At Jose's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial to celebrate his life is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Las Cruces Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jose R.
