It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center Christopher Adam Baca, 17, of Las Cruces. Chris is survived by his father Leonardo Avalos Jr., and mother Toni Baca Ortiz and Jonathan E. Ortiz; his brother Donnie Baca sister Dallas Baca Ortiz, Alexis Baca Ortiz, Jr., and Veronica Avalos; his grandparents Antonio Diaz and Juanita Baca, Leonardo Sr. and Maria Antonia Avalos; uncles and aunts Gabriel Apodaca an d Rene Baca, Esther Marie Baca, Anthony Ray Baca, Frankie Ray Baca, Alma Rodriguez, Pasquel Rodriguez and Lety Rendon, Victor Serrano, Frankie M. Melon and Rachel Baca Melon, Ray Chavarria and Lydia Baca Chavarria, George Baca and Frances Villa Baca, Albino Baca and Connie Barela Baca; nephew Dominick Baca; and niece Estreya Baca and many cousins and friends that will always love him and always be in our heart, and he will be missed. Chris was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Anita Soto Baca and Inez L. Avalos and Serafina A. Avalos, Cousin Pete Baca, Jessie Baca and Adam Benavidez. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., where an evening service will follow. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 also at La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home, burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Donnie Baca, Gabriel Apodaca, Anthony Baca, Antonio Diaz, Israel Baca, and Frankie Melon. Honorary will be Mark Melon, Jerry Baca, Michael Baca, and Saul Gonzales. Services have been entrusted to the care of La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home 555 West Amador, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
