He was born July 15, 1937 in Hurley to Jose F. and Aurora Diaz Galindo. Mr. Galindo retired as a custodian from Cobre Consolidated Schools and was a member of the Union Local #890. He was an active member of the Catholic Church and a Cursillista. Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa Galindo of the family home; one daughter, Dorothy Galindo Flores and husband, Paul A. of Chandler, Arizona; two sons, Manuel D. Galindo, Jr., and wife, Viviana F. and Adam D. Galindo and wife, Elia D., all of Las Cruces; one brother, Roberto D. Galindo and his family from Phoenix, Arizona. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Gabriel G. Flores, T. Jacob Flores and wife, Tanya, Ruby Rose Galindo, Jessica N. Galindo, Valerie N. Galindo, Timothy A. Galindo, and Jordan A. Galindo; six great-grandchildren, Myriah K. Flores, Santana J. Flores, S. Danielle Flores, J. Santiago Flores, Isaiah M. Flores, and Xavier D. Flores, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, and two brothers, Faustino and Armando D. Galindo. Visitation for Mr. Galindo will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the prayer vigil is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. His funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 in Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date. Serving as casket bearers will be Manuel D. Galindo, Jr., Gabriel Flores, Jacob Flores, Steve Delgado, Mark Montes, and Paul Flores. Honorary bearers will be Timothy Galindo and Jordan Galindo.
