Karissa was born to Ruben Bonilla Jr., and Maria Ramirez in El Paso, TX on May 02, 1990. At the time of her death she was attending Las Montanas Charter School. She was a very loving daughter and a caring friend. Karissa's hobbies were playing basketball and spending time with her friends. Karissa is survived by her mother Maria Ramirez, Father Israel (Izzy) Rios, sisters Jasmine Bonilla and Dezi Rios both of Las Cruces, Brothers Joshua Bonilla and companion Jackie of EL Paso, TX, Adam, Kevin, and Michael Bonilla all of Las Cruces and Isaac Ramirez also of Las Cruces. She is survived by nieces Jamie and Maya, nephews Nathaniel, Christopher, Brian and Edgar, and numerous aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her sister Alyssa Bonilla, Paternal grandfather Ruben Bonilla Sr., and her father Ruben Bonilla Jr. Karissa is also survived by her companion Deandra (Lucero) Altamirano. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Bonilla, Isaac Ramirez, Kevin and Michael Altamirano, David Rios and J.J. Lujan. Viewing for Karissa will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home 555 W. Amador Ave from12 p.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial will follow at 4 p.m. At Karissa's wish, cremation will take place following the service. Arrangements are with La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home.
