She was born September 13, 1945 in Bernalillo, New Mexico to Daniel and Paula Trujillo Bernal. "Frances" as she was fondly known to her family and friends was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Alfredo Chavez of the family home; four sons, Joseph Chavez and wife Lorelei, Richard Chavez and wife Heather, Paul Chavez; Daniel Edward Medina and wife Rachel; a daughter, Anna Contreras and husband Roy all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include twelve grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Mackenzie, Emily, Landon, Victoria, Allison, Andrew, Javier, Orlando, Daniel, Kiana, Shay, Jeremiah, Michael and Willie Baldonado, as well as four great-grandchildren, Marlene Baldonado, Eli, Brianna and Aalyh. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. An Evening Service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 7 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 1800 Locust Street, with Pastor Chris McRae officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
