Juan was born to Juan M. Benavidez and Iveth M. Lira. "JJ" is survived by his parents and his sister Destiny, his maternal grandparents Armando Lira and Socorro Romero, paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Doroteo Benavidez, his great grandmother Mrs. Isabel Martinez of Texas. His uncles Andrew and Robert Romero, Armando Lira II, Joseph A. Benavidez, his Auntie Marie Martinez and Delilah Lira, cousins Angelie, Joey, Anthony, Isabella Joseph Jr., Monique, Jovae, Nataly. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother Julia Benavidez of El Salvador. Prayer vigil services for "JJ" will be 7 a.m., Tuesday August 03, 2010 at La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday August 04, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Services have been entrusted to the care of La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home 555 West Amador Las Cruces, New Mexico 88005.
