Madrid, 62, of Doña Ana entered eternal life Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born January 06, 1948 in Las Cruces to Frank and Josefina Estrada Madrid. Mr. Madrid retired from New Mexico State University as a plumber after thirty years of service and was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Elvira Montoya Madrid of the family home; a daughter, Kim Torres of Las Cruces; a stepson, Ramon M. Madrid of Mill Creek, Washington; numerous stepdaughters; three brothers, Richard Madrid and wife Esperanza, Albert Madrid and wife Esther, Frank D. Madrid; two sisters, Gloria Martinez and husband Raymond, Corina Cordero all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include two grandchildren; a niece; five nephews; twenty-nine step grandchildren; numerous step great and great- great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. At Mr. Madrid's request cremation will take place and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina where the Memorial Mass will follow immediately thereafter with Reverend Sean Garrity officiating. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
