Anna was born on July 25, 1976, in Borger, TX. She lived many places over the years-Ras Tanura and Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia; Baton Rouge, LA; Las Cruces, NM; and several towns in Texas-and she visited many cities around the world. Anna was an honor graduate of Gables Academy in Baton Rouge and worked in retail sales before becoming disabled. She was a talented artist and poet, leaving many beautiful reminders of her too brief stay in the world. Anna was preceded in death by her grandparents Pauline Colbert, Roswell, NM and Dorothea and Jack Morris, Las Cruces; brother, Lionel Colbert, Las Cruces; and cousin Jory Chavez, Van Nuys, CA. Anna is survived by her parents Butch and Sharon (Morris) Colbert, Kingwood, TX; brother and sister-in-law Jacob and Mariah Colbert, Beaumont, TX; aunts and uncles Carolyn and Chris Whitesides, Apache Junction, AZ, Cathy and Wade Robinson, Las Cruces, and Charlene Chavez, Baton Rouge; nephew and niece Trevor Beeson and Zayda Colbert, Beaumont; cousin Michael Morris, Las Cruces; and scores of friends around the world. A celebration of Anna's life will be held for her friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local food bank in Anna's memory.
