Simmons, 82, passed away on Friday, August 06, 2010, at La Posada, Mesilla Valley Hospice. Bob was born September 14, 1927, in Chicago, IL to Ruth Blanchard and Robert F. Simmons. He will be remembered as a man of many talents including music, computer sage, a monthly newsletter for 16 years, a joke and a story for every occasion, "chasing girls at the mall", whimsical painting, a good friend and always lovingly available for his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalyn; daughters Ellen Simmons (Bob Burkhart); Susan Simmons; Ruth Lee (Jerry);.grandchildren Ryan Lee (Corrie); Stephanie Benetti (Jeff); Tricia Lee; Benjamin Carter (fiancée Lauren Harris); Hilary Carter (fiancée Chris Fries); great-grandchildren Isaac Lee and Sydney Benetti. As per Bob's wishes, cremation will take place with no viewing. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 1 p.m. at La Posada Chapel, Mesilla Valley Hospice.
