She was a mother of two; Lilly (21) and Alex (16), whom she stated were her pride and joy. She was a full time student and worked at the Las Cruces Magistrate court for over 9 years. Susie was an awesome, wonderful, loving and respectable person. She had a big heart and would help many people. She was a simple but adventurous person. She enjoyed her family, four wheeling, camping, horseback riding, shopping, dancing and making people laugh. Susie loved watching movies and her favorite channel was HGTV. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Susie passed away on Thursday surrounded by her family and friends at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX. She's survived by her father Rene Gomez of Casas Grandes Chihuahua, Mexico; her Daughter Lilliana (Lilly) Gomez, and son Rogelio (Alex) Baeza of Las Cruces. Brother Arturo Gomez and wife Valerie of Las Cruces, Sister Alma Gomez, and her companion Rodrigo (JR) Villegas both of Las Cruces, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother; brothers Marty Gomez, Danny Gomez and Enrique Gomez; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. A Celebration of her life will be held at 10 am, Monday the 15th at the Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM with Pastor Jose Salgado Esmirna.
