He was born to Isidro and Eva Hernandez on April 16, 1945 in Las Cruces. Ben loved to go fishing, record movies and TV shows and loved his morning cup of coffee. He is survived by his son Michael Peru and his wife Celestina, two grandchildren Mikey and Kendra Peru and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, uncle Eduardo Estrada, and granddaughter Keisha Leigh Peru. Visitation for Ben will begin at 6:00pm on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel 555 W Amador Avenue with a prayer vigil to start at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Tortugas, NM to begin at 10:00 with burial to follow at Tortugas Cemetery.
