Ida, a long time resident of Las Cruces was born in Budapest, Hungry on August 31, 1912 to Imre Vonyik and Teresa Hujber. She received training there to become a fine dressmaker. Ida and her husband, Joseph, who preceded her in death in 1995, came to Las Cruces when they retired from their Missouri farm in 1970. She is survived by a daughter, Ida Weigel, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ida's final resting place will be at the Holy Cross Parish, St. Francis Garden Columbarium in Las Cruces. No services are planned. Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Sunset Crematory, 300 E.
