She was born April 16, 1926 in McAfee, New Mexico to Manuel and Vicenta Solis Diaz. Juanita was one of the pioneer members of the First Spanish Assembly of God Church - now Living Waters, where she was a devoted member. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Council. Juanita was a loving and caring mother and grandmother she touched many lives and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Juanita was a hard working mother as she raised all her children alone. During her lifetime, Juanita worked at various jobs, including Lucero's Steakhouse. Later on she worked at Good Samaritan as a Nurses Aide until she retired. Juanita loved going to church, she enjoyed cooking for and being with her family; she enjoyed gardening and canning fruits and vegetables. Juanita was a very giving person to all who knew her. Those left to mourn her passing include a son, Isaac Tarin of Las Cruces; five daughters, Mary Helen Tarin of El Segundo, California, Toni Tarin Rodriguez and companion Ruben Lujan, Rebecca Tarin Arellin and companion Salomon Garcia, Rosalie Tarin Maldonado, Dora Tarin Samaniego and husband Rudy all of Las Cruces; a son-in-law, Freddie Rodriguez of Las Cruces; two brothers, Manuel Diaz, Jr. and Danny Diaz both of California; six sisters, Rosa Aguirre of El Paso, Texas, Lupe Gamboa, Mary Mendoza, Socorro Seneff, Dolores Encinas all of California, Pat Martinez of Las Cruces. Other survivors include eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Simon Tarin; a son, Jack Tarin; two brothers, Bernie and Tony Diaz; three sisters, Margarita Diaz, Maria Hernandez and Florencia Diaz. Visitation for Juanita will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Living Waters Assembly of God, corner of Espina and Bowman where the Evening Service is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10 AM in the same church with Pastor Felix Gonzales officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 5140 W. Picacho where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Isaac Tarin, Zachary Tarin and Samuel Tarin, Mario Marquez, Steven Duran and Salomon Garcia.
