She was born on April 15, 1925 in Clearmont, WY to Donaciano Salas and Margarita Esquivel. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church, she enjoyed cooking and sewing, knitting and caring for her animals. She is survived by her daughters Cecilia Salas and Corina Boles, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Matilde was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jesus Sanchez and her two daughters Alicia Due and Elva Santaella. Visitation will be on Thursday November 4, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church starting at 6:00 p.m., where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 p.m., Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday November 5, 2010 also at St. Anthony's Church, burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be members of her loving family.
