She was born June 21, 1923 in Hatch, NM, to Martin and Victoria Trujillo. Florina lived most of her life in Las Cruces. In her later years she regularly participated in Senior Olympics. She loved music and dancing. She was a loyal Aggie basketball fan. She is survived by her daughters Rosava Zounies of El Paso, TX, Sylvia Avalos of Las Cruces, Amy Lawton of Denver, CO, and sister Elmira Torres of Las Cruces. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grand children. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Archie and Jake. A memorial service is being held Tuesday, November 23rd at 4pm at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Parish Center.
