"Yoko" as he was affectionately known, was born July 19, 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jose Luis and Martha Jimenez. Yoko attended and graduated from Hatch High School in 2003 and was serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church. Yoko will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Yoko is survived by his parents, Jose Luis and Martha Jimenez of Hatch, NM; two brothers, Carlos Lara (Belen) of Las Cruces, NM and Fernando Jimenez (Imelda) of Hatch, NM; two sisters, Claudia Veronica Renteria (Pedro) of Las Cruces, NM and Aracely Jimenez of Hatch, NM. Also surviving him are his maternal grandparents, Bernardino and Carmen Nunez of Hatch, NM and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. Yoko was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose and Socorro Jimenez. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church, 117 Hartman, Hatch, NM with the Prayer Vigil to follow at 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 am on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 also at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church with full military honors accorded by the United States Marine Corps, immediately following.
