He was born to Henry Joseph and Laura Parks LaPointe on November 11, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended UTEP University where he received a Master's Degree in Education. He also served in the US Army faithfully for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine King La Pointe, sons Henry and wife Nancy La Pointe, Michael and wife Tawnya LaPointe, daughter Sharyn and husband William Hill, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 daughters Laura and Lisa. A graveside service at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00am where military honors will be rendered. Pastor Linvell Tisdale will be officiating the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice under his name. Services have been entrusted to the care of La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home 555 West Amador Las Cruces, New Mexico 88005.
