Samuel Kinch, 19, of Chaparral was reportedly driving home from a shift at a Las Cruces Walmart around 4 p.m. Saturday when his 1999 Ford pickup drifted into incoming traffic near milepost 3 on NM 404 at the Anthony Gap. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The Olson family was driving back to Las Cruces, with 43-year-old Charles "Matt" Olson behind the wheel and his wife, Patricia Olson, 42, daughter Molly Olson, 13, and son Ryan Olson, 11. Chuck and Kathy Olson said the family was recovering as best as possible. He said Kinch's death and their family's injuries were a tragic accident.
