Marshall went in peace to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Deming, NM. She was born May 8, 1944 in Dona Ana, NM to Lorenzo and Lillian Barela Rodriguez. She was retired after many years of faithful service from the Las Cruces Public Schools and enjoyed going to casinos, garage sales and crocheting but her passion was for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Lisa Murillo and husband David, Kathy Marshall and companion Bob Heinsen and William (Billy) Marshall all of Las Cruces and Judith Parra and husband Sonny of Deming, NM; mother Lillian Rodriguez of Dona Ana, NM; grandchildren Alexis and Cody; brother Randy Rodriguez and wife Maria; niece and nephew Erika and Christopher Rodriguez and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Marshall and by her father Lorenzo Rodriguez. Special thanks goes to her daughter Judith, Bertha Sainz and all the staff at Ambercare of Deming, NM for the love and care during her illness. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. The funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at 10 AM on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church with Fr. Miguel Macaya officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the Don Ana Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer goes to Sonny Parra, Christopher Rodriguez, David and Cody Murillo, Bob Heinsen, Ramon Barela and Jeffery Banegas.
