A mass and memorial service in her honor will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 7500 Paseo Del Norte, NE in Albuquerque. Nora was born January 11, 1922 in House, NM to Claude and Mary Evelyn (Dobbins) Martin. She graduated from Taiban High School in 1940 as one of five in the graduating class. The entire class of five were given a trip to the World's Fair in San Francisco, CA that year. She married James H. (Jim) Murphy on the 7th of September, 1940 in Clovis, NM. They adopted one child, Joan Marie, in 1951 in Albuquerque where they made their permanent home. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents, Claude and Evelyn; two sisters, Nedra Armstrong and Odessa Lewis; one brother, Claude L. Martin; and her brother-in-law, Harold Lobley. She is survived by her daughter, Joan and husband, Kirk Browning; two grandsons, Jason and wife, Delilah (Ochoa) Browning and Todd Browning and fiancee, Miranda; five great-grandchildren - Shariah, Austin, Keagyn, Hunter and Honor Browning; one sister, Dale Lobley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
