She was born October 19, 1947 in Las Cruces to Homer Braxton and Verna Mae Wilson Waters. Survivors include a sister, Lola M. Scott of Alvarado, Texas; three brothers, Homer M. Waters of Las Cruces and Bill Waters of Tijeras, New Mexico and James B. Water of Kaneohe, Hawaii. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Mae Wilson Smith. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, December 4, 2010 in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W.
