Armitage, 53, of Las Cruces. On Monday, December 6, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center, he suffered complications of a stroke due to heart problems. He was born August 30, 1957 in Craig, Colorado to Roger and Rosalie Visintainer Armitage. Ryan was employed at White Sands Missile Range - Newtec as a Precision Fires Test Technician. Ryan was a member of the New Mexico Desert Racing Club, the SCORE series and, formerly coached his kids baseball teams, and currently was an assistant soccer coach for the Vipers U12. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Ryan provided more than necessary for his family; he showed what true giving of the heart is. Coming in a very close second was his passion for dirt bikes. He just wanted to go fast and be with his desert riding friends. They were all so proud to know him and were honored to witness the desert full moon. We will miss you Ryan and the many laughs you brought to this world. Survivors include the love of his life, wife, Dora Zamora Armitage of the family home; two sons, Travys Armitage and Aaron Gravatt; three daughters, Taryn, Ryanna and Kayla Armitage; his mother, Rosalie Armitage; two sisters, Robin Harrison, Rhonda Armitage all of Las Cruces. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Russell Armitage. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held at 6 PM Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road.
