She was born August 24, 1943 in Ysleta, Texas to Nabor and Monica Natividad Amparan. Mrs. Holguin was a collector with Citizens Bank and a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her sons, Paul Melon and Darrell Melon; daughters, Debra Melon and Rhonda Marie Sprague all of Las Cruces; two brothers, Raul Arzapalo (Guadalupe) also of Las Cruces, Ricardo Vasquez (Amy) of Willard, New Mexico; a sister, Dolores Rodriguez (Jose) of El Paso, Texas. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lorenzo Holguin and a sister, Lupe A. Baca. At Mrs. Holguin's request, cremation will take place and Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, December 17, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date. Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Sunset Crematory, 300 E.
