Lunares, 45, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Monday, December 13, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1965 in Lancaster, California to Esteban R. and Felisitas G. Hernandez Lunares. Leo worked for Smith's Roofing for numerous years and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Those left to mourn his passing include his mother, Felicitas Lunares; two sisters, Yolanda Lunares and Elena Lunares all of Las Cruces; four brothers, Joe Hinojos of San Antonio, Elias Hernandez of Artesia, Mike Lunares and Rodrigo Lunares of Las Cruces; his nephews, Nacario, Benjamin, Elias, Michael; great nephews, Nehemiah, Esteban, Michael, Jr.; nieces, Alejandra, Julia, Delicia, Victoria, Delia, Leticia, Amanda, April; great nieces, Avabella; as well as his beloved dog, Smokey. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal and maternal grandparents. Cremation will take place and a memorial service is pending.
