He served from 1955 - 1975 in the United States Army with two tours of Vietnam and was also a member of the U.S. Army Soccer Team. Glen was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time with his family in the great outdoors and also enjoyed a great game of golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Deanna Johansmeier of the family home. Five sons, James (Diane) of Maine, Charles of Washington, Robert (Carmen) of Las Cruces, Roger (Amy) of Iowa, and Glen (Laura) Johansmeier of Anthony, N.M. Two daughters, Annette (James) Van De Bury of Washington and Jennifer (Lorenzo Rubio) Johansmeier of Las Cruces, NM. Two brothers, Michael (Bonnie) Johansmeier of Colo. Robert (Debbie) Johansmeier of El Paso, TX. Two sisters, Betty (Jerry) Black of Colorado and Nona Hart of California. Twenty one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters Wilhelmena and Julia. A brother Carl A. Johansmeier and one grandson Corey, and two nephews Matthew Johansmeier and Scott Yoder. Glen is deeply loved by all his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
