Luz was born to Maria and Alejandro Contreras, and was married to Epitacio "Facho" Rios for 61 years. Luz and Epitacio had eleven wonderful children, Luz is survived by her loyal sons and their spouses; Tony and Millie, Esteban and Hilda, Edmundo and Trini, Zeke and Yolanda, Ricardo and Barbara, and her beautiful daughters and their spouses; Teresa and Leo Soto, Anna Baca, Lucia and Elias Parraz, Gloria and Victor Reyes and Cindy Gallegos. Luz is also survived by her precious 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as her beloved caregivers Edith and Pedro Lopez, and Ninive Quevedo. Luz is preceded in death by her lvoing husband, Epitacio Rios, her son, Alfredo Rios, and her great-grandson, Cameron Acosta. Viewing will take place on Friday, December 17, 2010 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. with services following at 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, on Saturday, December 18, 2010. Pastor Antonio Gamiochipi of Houston, Texas will officiate. Casket bearers will be grandsons Marcos Montes, Fred Acosta, Antonio Rios, Jr., Patrick Baca, Edmundo Rios and Marc Reyes. Arrangements have been entrusted to La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W.
