Visitation will begin at 6:30 this evening, Friday February 11, 2011 at Baca's Funeral Chapel followed by a rosary service at 7 o'clock that will be led by Teresa Caruso. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr. Joshe Duplissey, Pastor officiating. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Dorothy Burd and the staff of Ambercare for the excellent care given to Arturo during his illness. In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation to Ambercare Hospice Foundation, 420 North Main Street, Belen, New Mexico 87002 He was born on January 25, 1931 at La Union, New Mexico to Guillermo "Lan" Guaderrama and Natividad Mendez Guaderrama. He was a long time area farmer who subsequently worked and retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department as a heavy equipment Operator. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Amelia Gonzales Guaderrama;2 sons, Jose Luis Guaderrama and wife, Bernadette of Anthony, New Mexico, Ruben Guaderrama and wife, Wendie of El Paso, TX; a daughter, Ana Luz Marquez of Las Cruces, New Mexico and son-in-law Raymond Ernesto Marquez of Pecos, TX; 6 grandchildren, Ernesto Rene Marquez, Michael Anthony Marquez, Jarrod Matthew Guaderrama, Lacy Ann Guaderrama, Justin Michael Guaderrama and Maura Luz Guaderrama; 4 great-grandchildren; 35 nieces and nephews; 3 brothers Jaime Guaderrama, Guillermo "Willie" Guaderrama and David Guaderrama; 4 sisters, Enedina Reyes, Otilia "Tillie" Lujan, Blanca Strange, Teresa Caruso, Bertha Lisa Moseson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Froilan Guaderrama. Pallbearers will include his grandsons, Ernesto Rene Marquez, Michael Anthony Marquez, Jarrod Matthew Guaderrama, Justin Michael Guaderrrama, great grandson, Salvador Rodriguez, and a long time friend Danny Bustamante.
