Sedillo, 84 of Las Cruces entered eternal life Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Elvira was born June 1, 1926 in Valverde, New Mexico to Pedro and Eufelia Romero Apodaca. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Jacob Sedillo (Betty), Lilly Dominguez (Tony), Nancy Gonzales (Daniel), Leona Silva (David) and Jo Ann Fernandez. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Denise and Marissa Dominguez, Adam Gonzales, Joseph and Christina Sedillo, Daniel and Natalie Gonzales, Erica and Matthew Silva; her great grandchildren, Sarah, Alexis, David, Delilah and Elijah Silva as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gregorio Sedillo, sons, Joseph and Gregory Sedillo, brothers, Pedro, Joe, Fred and Abe Apodaca and sisters, Irene Jaramillo, Ruth Bierner and Bridgette Armijo. Visitation for Ms. Sedillo will begin at 6 PM Thursday, February 10, 2011 in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 PM Friday, February 11, 2011 in the same church, with the Reverend Ricardo Bauza, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Serving as casket bearers will be Tony Dominguez, Daniel and Adam Gonzales, David Siva, Joseph Sedillo, and Matthew Silva. Honorary bearers will be Ray and Gilbert Apodaca, Joe Bierner, Robert Holguin and Stephen Vital. Service arrangements entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E.
