He was born in Zanesville , Ohio on May 20, 1944, to Fredrick J. Dietenbeck and Elogine Frances Thompson. Charlie resided in Deming , NM for 18 years after moving from Southern California. Charlie worked doing aerospace engineering for McDonald Douglas in Long Beach, California . Charlie was married to Wendy Dietenbeck for 30 years. They had children together, sons; David Feeney and John Feeney, daughters; Diana Hughes and Cherie Parker, all of California, daughter Johnna Dietenbeck of Las Cruces, NM and stepson Michael Begley of Kentucky. Charlie loved working with his hands, including woodwork and building model planes, he loved westerns and spending time with his three dogs,his friends and neighbors, as a lighthearted man with a big sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Wendy Dietenbeck, his children, brother John Dietenbeck of California, and sister Judy Hinds of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick J. Dietenbeck and Elogine Francis Thompson of Ohio and his sister Becky Carnahan of Missouri. Charlies' ashes will be laid to rest in family plot at Mount Olives Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice @ La Posada and/or Mimbres Valley Hospice in lieu of flowers.
