DIAZ, 62, of Las Cruces left his dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 2, 1948 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco Diaz and Josefina Medina. Mr. Diaz was the owner and operator of B.B.'s Ice Cream Trucks and member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Rita C. Diaz of the family home; two daughters, Elizabeth Saenz and husband Javier, Claudia Diaz all of Las Cruces; three brothers, Rafael Diaz and wife Irma, Francisco Diaz all of El Paso, Texas, Ricardo Diaz of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; four sisters, Isabel Martinez and husband Ramon, Angelina Contreras and Rosa Diaz all of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Socorro Hernandez and husband Juvencio of Denver, Colorado. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Antonio Esparza, Celeste and JosĂșe Diaz, Andrew, Kevin and Evan Saenz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Abel and Juan Diaz. Visitation for Mr. Diaz will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 beginning at 6 PM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street with Reverend Ricardo Hinojal officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho where he will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Ruben Torres, Javier Saenz, Rafael and Ricardo Diaz, Antonio Esparza, Roberto, Michael and Benjamin Cruz.
