Flores, 53, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He was born April 21, 1957 to Porfirio and Irma A. Chavez Flores. ""Pete"" as he was fondly known to family and friends was the owner and operator of Border Transload and Transfer, Inc. Those left to mourn his passing include a son, Anthony Flores of Las Cruces; a daughter, TaLeah Flores of Maynardville, Tennessee; his mother, Irma A. Flores of Murtaugh, Idaho; three brothers, Joe Trevino and family of Bullhead City, Arizona, Gilbert Flores and Richard Flores and family all of Murtaugh, Idaho; four sisters, St. Janie Baird and family of Scottsdale, Arizona, Irma Webster and family of Austin, Texas, Catarina Flores of Murtaugh, Idaho and Nicolasa Jones and family of Phoenix, Arizona; two half-sisters, Dolores Castro and family of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Marie Garansuay and family of Schertz, Texas. Other survivors include three stepchildren, Shelly Lee, Lexia Williams and Grady Lee all of Altamonte Springs, Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation for Pete will begin at 10 AM Wednesday (today), February 23, 2011 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 AM with Pastor James Large officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.
