Fullman, a resident of Silver City, entered eternal rest at the Silver City Care Center on February 4, 2011. She was born August 6, 1930 to Charlotte and Nick Higgins on the ranch in Pleasanton, NM. They later moved to Silver City where Flora raised her family and lived out her life. She retired from the Gas Company of New Mexico in 1987. Flora and her husband, Steve ran the Gila Wilderness Jr. Kennel Club where they raised and trained Shelties. Her dogs were her pride and joy. Survivors include her son, Gary Ford and his wife Margie, a brother, Tommy Higgins and his wife Viola, a special granddaughter, Adrianne Ford, a grandson, Eric Ford and a great-granddaughter, Chryssa Ford. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly. Mildred Thomas and her son, Billy held a very special place in her heart, also. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Clive Higgins, a nephew, Nick Higgins and a very special friend, Jeanette Hoover. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. Pallbearers will be Adrianne Ford, Danny Higgins, Mike Higgins, Pat Higgins, Tommy Wayne Higgins, Kevin Higgins, Ronnie Higgins and Billie Thomas. In lieu of flowers family is requesting donations be made to High Desert Humane Society 3050 S. Cougar Way Silver City, N.M. 88061 or charity of chose.
